Other news

Managed to get a ball of acrylic stuck on the light. Got the train a few times to work this week while i got my car puncture fixed so been making some crochet progress. Not had much time otherwise with new job and my course. On saturday i hope to get my wheel up and running. My stash has been reorganised into categories. You know you have too much if you have categories! Sadly hk closed last week. It was one me my fav edinburgh shops. To comfort myself i went to k1 yarns opening day. It is different but a nice shop too.

Not much crafting but

Yup we are engaged!

First Finished Project 2008

Childs Placket Sweater from Last Minute Knitted Gifts
Jaegar Baby Merino (2x50g)

I was just able to finish the 6mnth to 1yr size without having to break into the third ball. A few uneven sections of stiches but overall not too bad. I'm sure I should have finished this a little quicker considering this is the second time I have made this pattern but the last third seemed to take me a while. I am sure the quality of my knitting has improved, but I think the yarn hid more problems last time.

A step too far?

Yes, I have bought myself a spinning wheel... no I have never used a spinning wheel and yes it might have been a bit impulsive. I can't resist a bargain though and just look at how beautiful it is.
We will have to be temporarily parted for logistical space reasons, but I will be able to visit until we have the space for it and a safe place out of the reach of bunny teeth. Hopefully KG and I can go to a class or two to learn what to do in a couple of months (yes time is also an issue at the moment).

Busy january

It has been a hectic start to the year. After a few bargains in the sales and some lovely pressies i have joined the angel yarns stash-along. I am going to try not to buy anymore yarn until i have knitted some up. First i need to pay attention to those half finished projects.
